Since much has happened over the last few days, I thought I’d continue with my posts (I could have three today if I get my belly shoot done in time…).
Ahhh. Christmas. It’s the day after and we are just hanging out at home, doing nothing. Hence the posting.
Our Christmas was spent up in Tabernash with Ryan’s whole immediate family – his parents drove in and Rhonda flew in from Cali. We only had a day between our babymoon and family time up in the mountains so it’s been pretty busy despite the fact we didn’t do a whole lot while we were up there. Just always on the go.
Anyway, our four days of celebration included the following:
- a visit to Ryan’s aunt and uncle’s house in Denver to chat with some of the cousins
- heading to WP to relax with the fam
- coffee and doughnuts at the store in the morning with the inlaws
- skiiing (since I am in a more “fragile” state, I couldn’t participate in the ski fun, but had a good time just hanging out and reading)
- eating a delicious traditional Christmas meal and laughing off the calories by watching Christmas Vacation
- more skiing
- shopping
- relaxing
- watching the Santa ski-down on Christmas Eve and then going to the church service at the base
- more eating
- opening gifts
- more relaxing on Christmas day
- game playing
- and then to end our festive fun…a wonderful little sleigh ride through the mountains during sunset on Christmas.
It was a great Christmas break. And tomorrow, I’ll be in the Midwest for some more family fun, time with friends and…baby showers!! The fun just never stops.
Here are some photos of our time up in Winter Park/Tabernash.
