As for the belly, without further ado…

This week’s pregnancy facts:

  • Surprisingly, after binging on ice cream, heavily buttered and mostly high-carb foods (like popcorn, bread and pasta with cream sauce), pizza, and donuts to spite my doctor, I didn’t gain a pound this week! Pass the chips.
  • I’m currently typing this post while eating a chocolate-filled croissant that I bought at the farmer’s market. And enjoying every bite, thankyouverymuch.
  • Speaking of weight gain…do you see how I can look huge from one angle and look pretty much normal in another? I’m a wizard.
  • This was mentioned in my weekly pregnancy email and it’s something that I’ve been doing – “Exercise in blind identification. Try to distinguish between baby’s feet, fists, knees, and elbows — all doing some major pushing and nudging inside of you.” Yep. I totally felt an entire leg, knee and foot on separate occasions and to look down at the belly while New Baby is moving is slightly unsettling. Growing humans is so crazy! I will never get over how weird/cool/miraculous it is.
  • Oh, and so you see those cute pink capri pants I’m wearing in the photo? Well our 11lb Yorkie, Sadie, decided she wanted to destroy them completely by eating the entire backside. And I mean ENTIRE. Not exaggerating. Needless to say, I was filled with pregnancy rage for most of the day as cute maternity pants are hard enough to find, much less for only $3 (when they are valued at $40), AND ones that are lightweight enough to wear all summer. I’m only 10% kidding when I say she is for sale.
  • Although I can’t wear them in public anymore, I still plan to feature them in my maternity shoots as a way to memorialize them. *sniff* RIP, favorite maternity capris. I only have fond memories of you.
