It’s not as easy as it looks…remembering things, that is. Or just coming up with good ones that actually teach me things. But I’m sticking with it! Already halfway there…

6.27 – I learned even Kohls can make a fashion statement. Three girls complimented my new $20 dress at separate, unrelated times. Love the 30% coupons…love the Kohls.
6.28 – I learned that sometimes I have to be flexible and accommodating for other people, even if it means causing a bit of chaos and stress for myself.
6.29 – I realized I didn’t have enough fun in college. Too much homework during the week (especially because I procrastinated) and too much work on the weekend leaving no time to play. Glad to be out in four years but wish there were more funny stories.
6.30 – I accomplished getting hired as an Aftercare teacher! I already talked about the position in this post, but just to fill you in more…I still see teaching in my future. I know…one more to add to my growing list. But it’s just the wrong time right now for me to go back to school which is why I’ve just been doing my own thing, and loving it. And maybe I’ll change my mind, but I see teaching being a job that would still allow for me to keep doing several of the things I’m doing now. In the meantime, youth group serves as my youth outlet.
7.1 – I realized that there are far too many 20-30 year old women that are obsessed with the Twilight saga, myself included. But I LOVE the communal obsession. Makes me feel like less of a freak.
7.2 – I learned that the cliché is true: anything is possible when you set your mind to it. I accomplished my first published article with the online publication, gocolorado.com. Back in March I mentioned my desire to get involved travel writing, and now I’m doing it! I also learned that I should never take anything for granted – it could be gone in an instant.

Well, happy Independence Day weekend everyone! Take time to celebrate and enjoy our freedom, as well as pray for those serving our country.
