Today Sonora and I went to free day at the Denver Botanical Gardens downtown. It was my first time there and it did NOT disappoint. It. Was. Amazing. I loooooooove landscaping, plants, pretty things and all things nature-y, so naturally this was heaven for me. Here are a bunch of shots I had to share, unedited, just so you understand how gorgeous it was:

In the tropics!

High up in the canopy.

The floppy hat kills me dead.

A little frog friend!

She fell asleep aproximately one minute after this shot.

Okay I had to play around with at least ONE...

As you can see, I kind of had a love affair with lily pads this visit.

In sharing these, I often wonder if I should be utilizing a *real* photo sharing site more, like Flickr, instead of uploading here or on Facebook. But then I think, “that’s just one more site to manage” and the only reasons why I’d do it would be 1) to make more cohesive portfolios of our photos; 2) share our photos with the world through a better medium, and; 3) in the off chance someone like Getty would want to buy some of our images. And then I think, “um, aren’t those good enough reasons??” Plus, regarding the whole selling of photos, the old adage “you’ll never know if you don’t try!” is kind of buzzing in my ear.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking for a while that I might just quit uploading to Facebook since I can just direct everyone here or to my Flickr account. If nothing else, it will give me an excuse to go through our trillion-billion photos and choose some for printing/hanging. Sooo, yeah. I think imagonnadoit.

Just no guarantees on when, heh.

Love,
Laura
