I went to this site: http://moninavelarde.com/newyears/ and clicked once. This was my result – nice!

I don’t usually make resolutions for the new year (because I can’t make firm decisions easily) but this year I have quite a list of things I’d like to do. And I won’t be disappointed if I don’t fulfill all of them, but hope that by the end of the year I can check most of them off! So here’s what I want to accomplish this year, in no particular order:

1) Find a good job that uses skills I have and is something I enjoy (for the most part)
2) Network more to get more freelance projects in order to build my business
3) Read the whole Bible with Ryan (last year we failed…but I have high hopes for this year – this is my most important resolution!)
4) Get Lasik eye surgery (scary!)
5) Go skiing at least twice at two different resorts (Winter Park, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain)
6) Make new friends and keep in touch with old friends
7) Go on an adventure trip outside of Colorado
8) Take advantage of as many Colorado escapades as I can (ski, rock climb, overnight hike/backpack, alpine slide, hot springs, reservoirs, kayak, train ride through Royal Gorge, etc.)
9) Explore as many areas of Colorado as possible (Durango, Breckenridge, Boulder, Keystone, Eldorado Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods, etc.)
10) Visit four different states (New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming)
11) Sit less during the day, exercise more
12) Do my stretching exercises so my neck and back aren’t so sore! (aka finally take my chiropractor’s orders)
13) Read the eight books I brought with me plus some of the classics I’ve been meaning to read (particularly Scarlet Letter and Wuthering Heights) and any suggestions from literature buffs
14) Decide with Ryan where we will live, possibly buy a house and get more established
15) Learn something new every day and make note of it – whether it’s small or large, personal or professional

I’m sure there’s more that I’ll think of throughout the year, but those are the ones that came to my head this New Year’s Day. I’m excited for what 2010 will bring!

Happy New Year everyone and enjoy 2010!
