There is a lot going on right now. And my body is not properly equipped for it all.

  • We’ve been preparing the last few days for our big presentation to the City (which is tomorrow!);
  • We’ve been packing and moving boxes and items to our new place (need to be out, both places need to be cleaned and we have to be all moved in by Sunday – we’ve barely started);
  • I’ve gotten two new projects in with a couple more in the pipeline I haven’t started to think about yet (this is a good thing, but still a little overwhelming for one week);
  • I just started my new PT job at Free Horizon and have to feign excitement and energy for three-and-a-half hours (normally this would be fine – 11 weeks pregnant, not so much);
  • I haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep for the last two weeks and my dreams are actually detailed plans of me moving, writing emails, designing websites, thinking of baby names, etc.;
  • There are times when I just sit and stare for minutes on end without a thought in my mind and then wonder what I was supposed to be doing;
  • And “morning” sickness symptoms are still kicking my butt all day.

Not to mention I have to call about 2,100 people that I haven’t talked to in ages but I don’t yet have the energy.

I will be so glad when this week is over. Let’s just hope the 12 week mark is kind to me and gives me back my mind and body so I can function properly again. Pleeeeeeease.

Oh, but some good news…I sold a nature photo to a designer friend which will be used in several of her design pieces – wahoo! And I just bought some adorable baby clothes this weekend from one of my favorite stores, Ross, for a ridiculously low price. I love deals.

Time for bed,
Laura
